NBC’s Snyderman to apologize for breaking Ebola quarantine

Dr. Nancy Snyderman is expected to apologize for breaking an Ebola quarantine and putting others at possible risk when she returns to NBC's "Today" show Wednesday morning, Page Six has learned.

The network's chief medical correspondent will appear in a segment on "Today," but sources said, besides the apology, the overall segment will not be on Ebola.

It will be Snyderman's first appearance since stirring controversy when she broke a voluntary quarantine after an NBC freelancer contracted the disease.

Snyderman was in Liberia covering the outbreak when freelance cameraman Ashoka Mukpo was infected.

The team returned to the US and put themselves under self-imposed quarantine. But days later, the doc, who never tested positive for Ebola, was seen buying soup at a New Jersey cafe by her home.

She gave a statement to Brian Williams saying she was "deeply sorry for the concerns this episode caused," which he read aloud on "NBC Nightly News."

Last week, "Today" interviewed American survivors of the Ebola virus, including Mukpo.
