Kinky Manhattan lawyer Ryan Hemphill, on trial for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, squirmed on the witness stand Wednesday as he admitted he took pleasure in choking her during sex.
"Did you enjoy when you strangled her during sex?" asked Assistant District Attorney Sara Weiss. "Sure," he replied, shifting uncomfortably in his seat.
Hemphill, 33, is on trial in Manhattan Supreme Court for choking and holding a knife to the throat of his ex, Christina Leos, in 2013.
"During the strangling, it puts you in control, is that correct?" Weiss asked. "No," he answered, vigorously shaking his head.
Leos, 32, had told jurors that she thought she was going to die when Hemphill, her boyfriend of just over a year, strangled her during a heated argument.
When cops executed a search warrant on his Murray Hill pad, they found a cache of weapons and a trove of homemade BDSM porn.
