‘Shark Tank’ star considered suicide

"Shark Tank" cast member Robert Herjavec says he contemplated suicide last year after his marriage to Diane Plese crashed — and his three kids wouldn't talk to him.

"I've always thought that there is nothing that can rock my world, but I woke up one night and wanted to end it," Herjavec, 51, tells People magazine (the new issue hits New York newsstands Wednesday). "All I could think was, 'I can't go on … I will not survive until tomorrow.' "

Herjavec, who's hoofing it on this season's "Dancing With the Stars" — and is reportedly worth $100 million — says he pulled himself out of his funk by working at a Seattle homeless shelter.

"This place saved me, man," he says. "I think this gave me the opportunity to reconnect with God and to help others. The way I was was unsustainable."

Grizz rocks new roles

Grizz Chapman, who played Tracy's (Tracy Morgan) sidekick (also named Grizz) on "30 Rock," has made the transition to the big screen.

Denise Boutte

He's not only appearing in Adam Sandler's "The Cobbler" — which opened last weekend — but also has a role in the upcoming movie "Money Monster," directed by Jodie Foster and starring George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Dominic West. (The movie just started production.)

Grizz is also developing a sitcom called "The Lair," based on life in the comic book store he co-owns in The Bronx (Morris Park). "So many different people are part of this [comic book] lifestyle and I want to touch on that," says Chapman, who will produce the show. "Most likely I'll be in [the show]; it's a baby of mine and I want to push and see it on TV."

Meanwhile, former "Meet the Browns" star Denise Boutte has landed the lead role in "Ruth," which begins filming this week in Atlanta and airs later this year on TV One.

She stars as the titular character; co-stars include Loretta Devine, James Pickens Jr. ("Grey's Anatomy") and onetime "CSI" star Gary Dourdan. "Meet the Browns" aired on TBS.

Last, but not least …

Nickelodeon is set to announce that Jamie Foxx, Hilary Duff, Emma Stone and Tia Mowry-Hardrict will appear at its Kids' Choice Awards, hosted by Nick Jonas (airing March 28) … Diane Sawyer hosts ABC's "The Untold Story of 'The Sound of Music,' " 10 p.m. Wednesday … Maya Rudolph joins Kristen Wiig, Haley Joel Osment, Will Ferrell and Michael Sheen in IFC's "The Spoils Before Dying," the summer sequel to "The Spoils of Babylon."
