Conan O'Brien spent the weekend in Cuba — taping an episode of his late-night show that will air March 4 on TBS (11 p.m.).
O'Brien — amidst proposals to re-establish diplomatic relations with Cuba — was "in and around Havana" and "experienced multiple days taking in the sights, sounds and culture of the country," show officials said in a statement.
With his trip to Havana, O'Brien is the first US late-night TV host to film in Cuba since the US embargo began in 1962.
Viewers of the March 4 episode of "Conan" will get "a rare glimpse into the daily life of a country not often seen by American viewers," show officials said.
