Scandal-hit producer Scott Rudin didn't show up at the National Board of Review ceremony Tuesday because he was to be seated with the director of "Selma," who criticized his e-mail exchanges with embattled Sony co-chair Amy Pascal, sources tell Page Six.
Rudin was supposed to join the cast of his movie "Top Five," including Chris Rock, at a Paramount table at Cipriani 42nd Street, which also included with the "Selma" cast and director Ava DuVernay.
She had blasted the contents of leaked e-mails between Pascal and Rudin that mocked President Obama's screen tastes, telling the Daily Beast, "I thought it was a great gift to me to be reminded of that kind of sad, limited, crass view of the work that people do in this industry who are not from the dominant culture."
But a rep for Rudin — who isn't known for his love of awards ceremonies — insisted, "Scott never planned to attend in the first place."
And Rock told the audience that night, "Scott Rudin is not a racist. Scott Rudin hates everybody . . . He's not here because he hates all of you!"
