‘Net gain: YouTube star Helbig snares E! talk show

YouTube star Grace Helbig is graduating to the small screen.

The comedian has joined E! to host a prime-time comedy talk show starting in April, tentatively titled "The Grace Helbig Project."

On the show, Helbig — whose "Its Grace" YouTube channel has more than 2 million subscribers — will share her views on pop culture news while incorporating viewers' Tweets, Vines and Instagrams.

She will also interview celebrity guests in everyday locations like her car or the grocery store.

The series will be produced by Embassy Row, the studio behind interactive talk shows "Watch What Happens Live" (starring Andy Cohen) and "The Talking Dead" (hosted by Chris Hardwick).

Helbig's series marks E!'s first new talk show since Chelsea Handler's "Chelsea Lately" ended last August.
