A search was underway for a 15-year-old Swedish tourist with Asperger's syndrome who wandered away from his father at a Manhattan McDonald's, police sources said.
Marcus Kerttu was last seen at the fast food joint on Canal Street near Broadway in Chinatown at 7:50 p.m., Friday, officials said.
His father stepped away from their table to use the restroom, and returned to find Marcus gone, sources told the Post.
The father desperately searched the area around the McDonald's, as well as their West 32nd Street hotel, and alerted authorities after his efforts proved fruitless, sources said.
Marcus stands 5-foot-8 and weighs 120 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a black hat, black coat, blue jeans, and black sneakers. Police believe he has been obsessively riding on the 2, 5, and N lines.
Officials couldn't immediately say whether Marcus understands English.
