The Post picks out the best games from the eight third-round contests that make up an all-day hoops buffet on Day 3 of the NCAA Tournament:
(11) UCLA vs. (14) UAB
12:10 p.m., CBS
The Round of 32 kicks off with a pair of double-digit seeds vying for a spot in the Sweet 16. UCLA has been living right: First, the Bruins were considered a surprise entry into the field. Then, they drew the 14th-seeded Dragons instead of No. 3 Iowa State. Could UCLA be the latest controversial addition to make a deep tournament run?
(1) Kentucky vs. (8) Cincinnati
2:40 p.m., CBS
It won't be pretty when two of the nation's best defenses meet, as Kentucky looks to continue its perfect season. Cincinnati had trouble scoring against the likes of East Carolina and Tulane this season. Don't expect it to get any better against Kentucky's never-ending wave of big men with NBA futures.
(2) Arizona vs. (10) Ohio State
5:15 p.m., CBS
D'Angelo Russell may be the most talented guard playing in the tournament, but Arizona is a balanced lineup loaded with talent. All five Wildcats starters hit double digits in Thursday's rout, so Ohio State will need more than just its freshman phenom to pull the upset.
(6) Xavier vs. (14) Georgia State
6:10 p.m., TNT
The video of Ron Hunter falling out of his chair Thursday has been replayed countless times, but advancing to the second weekend would mean even more airtime for America's newest favorite coach. Some flinched at Xavier's six seed despite 13 losses, but the Musketeers dismantled Ole Miss in the second round.
(4) North Carolina vs. (5) Arkansas
8:40 p.m., TNT
If you're a disillusioned fan tired of games in the 50s, this is the matchup for you. Arkansas presses and plays an up-tempo style and few teams run more than North Carolina. The Tar Heels nearly lost to Harvard in the Round of 32, so they'll need a much better effort against the Razorbacks to advance to the Sweet 16.
(3) Notre Dame vs. (6) Butler
9:40 p.m., TBS
Who needs the Hoosiers? In this intrastate matchup, it'll be Notre Dame trying to end a Sweet 16 drought dating to 2003 while Butler looks to get back to the second weekend for the first time since its remarkable back-to-back Final Four runs in 2010 and 2011.
