A city panel that oversaw more than $500 million in property-tax reductions last year is operating at half-strength because Mayor de Blasio hasn't filled three of its six positions, The Post has learned.
The Tax Commission, where property owners go to challenge their assessments, has been missing its Bronx representative since 2012.
Also, the Staten Island seat and one of two spots reserved for members representing Manhattan have been vacant since January 2014 — when de Blasio came into office.
More than a year later, Hizzoner has taken no steps to fill the board to the level set out in the City Charter.
The City Council would also have to approve his nominees — whose positions are considered part-time, but whose roles impact the city's largest single revenue agency.
Last year, the commission conducted more than 24,000 hearings and granted $5.8 billion in assessment reductions on property — yielding nearly $521 million in tax relief.
Commission president Glenn Newman was away and couldn't be reached for comment.
City Hall officials said there have been no quorum issues or time-sensitive matters, and that the board has 23 additional staffers available to oversee cases.
They noted that this year's hearings aren't set to begin until April.
"We expect to announce nominations soon, but this has had virtually no impact on the commission's ability to hear and process cases," said City Hall spokeswoman Amy Spitalnick.
