Sam Smith and Stevie Wonder have grown quite close in the run-up to the Grammys, sources say, with "Stay With Me" singer Smith accompanying Motown legend Wonder around backstage during rehearsals "like a real British gentleman," said a source.
Smith was also spotted seeing Madonna rehearse on Sunday, and we're told he later popped into Madge's dressing room to tell her what a fan he is.
Also seen in the hallways backstage at the Staples Center was Paul McCartney, who was amiably "chatting up everyone," said the eyewitness, after he rehearsed his number "FourFiveSeconds" with Rihanna and Kanye West.
