At Karlie Kloss' 21st birthday party 1¹/₂ years ago, the 6-foot-1 supermodel celebrated with her nearest and dearest at Midtown's Paramount Hotel.
She sipped Champagne with some of the biggest names in fashion — from models Cara Delevingne and Joan Smalls to designer Prabal Gurung — and rocked a semisheer red lace Dolce & Gabbana dress.
But the wildest it got was when her grandmother Stella boogied on the dance floor.
Kloss continued the festivities with a family trip to Disney World, posting pictures of herself grinning in Mickey ears on Instagram.
Not exactly a debauched coming-of-age bash like, say, the one Kate Moss had at LA's Viper Room in 1995, which ended when singer Jason Donovan had a cocaine-induced seizure.
Then again, we're talking about someone who says "darn it!" and makes cookies for fun.
Perhaps it's no surprise that Taylor Swift, music's good girl, has chosen Kloss — her fashion-world doppelganger — as her BFF.

The two gorgeous It girls grace the cover of Vogue this week, giving a peek into their PG-rated friendship — from trips to Big Sur and SoulCycle to nights spent baking and watching movies. The duo is a refreshing antidote to the other famous crew that's been spotted all over Fashion Week: the Kardashians.
So, who is Swift's co-cover girl?
Born in Chicago and raised in St. Louis, the 22-year-old stunner is one of the most in-demand models of the moment — and she's been in the biz for eight years. Kloss raked in $4 million in 2014, according to Forbes, and fronts five new ad campaigns, on top of her Victoria's Secret Angel wings, a contract with L'Oréal Paris and her 1.9 million Instagram followers.
"Karlie beats the odds. If a girl is too commercial no one wants to work with her," James Scully, casting director for high-fashion brands like Tom Ford, tells The Post. "She's reached commercial success and they're all shooting her. It's a great testament to her tenacity and ability to be versatile."
Nearly a decade into a career in a fickle business obsessed with "fresh faces," Kloss has managed the tricky feat of remaining not only relevant, but cool.
She poses for edgy photographers like David Sims, Steven Klein and the power duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. At the same time, she lands high-paying mainstream jobs for Nike, Joe Fresh and Kate Spade.
Designer Jason Wu, who cast Kloss in his show on Friday and in his new ad campaign, credits her success to her effervescent personality.
"Karlie and I kind of grew up together in the fashion industry," he says. "I first met her when she came in for her fashion show fitting and I was immediately blown away by her natural beauty and poise."
In between racking up air and catwalk miles, Kloss still finds time to have fun.

At a Fashion Week party at Midtown's Pacha Thursday night — the setting for a Nile Rodgers music video — Kloss turned heads in a skintight, white Versace bodysuit while dancing onstage.
Kloss hangs out with her boyfriend, hunky 6-foot-3 tech investor and Harvard MBA Josh Kushner, who backed Instagram in the early days. The 29-year-old scion of the Kushner real-estate dynasty and brother of Jared, Ivanka Trump's husband, was first photographed with Kloss in the summer of 2013.
Although they keep their relationship under wraps, they've been spied at the US Open and walking hand in hand downtown. He's said to be shy, super-smart and hard-working.

That is, when she's not with bestie T-Swift, whom she met backstage at the Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2013. Now they both live downtown — Kloss owns a townhouse in the West Village while Taylor has a penthouse in Tribeca, where she reportedly keeps a spare room for when Kloss visits.
"People had been telling us for years we needed to meet," Swift tells Vogue. "I remember makeup artists and hair people going, 'Doesn't she remind you of Karlie? God, she and Karlie would be best friends. They're the same. Karlie's such a good girl. She brings us cookies every time we do a shoot.' "
Kloss is also close with "Girls" actress Lena Dunham and fellow Missourian and fashion writer Derek Blasberg. She's so tight with fellow model Jourdan Dunn, whose 5-year-old son, Riley, is her godchild, that they've been nicknamed "Jourlie."
Dunn tells The Post: Kloss is "like a sister to me. I am attracted to energy and Karlie has amazing positive energy. Plus, she's funny as hell!" She adds, "Whenever we get together, we have fun, even if it's in our PJs watching movies."

In addition to her fashion family, Karlie is close to her real family, who she calls her "secret weapons." They've been by her side since she started modeling at age 14, after being scouted at a St. Louis fashion benefit.
Her parents, Tracy and Kurt, a freelance art director and an emergency room physician, respectively, made sure that a family member or teacher traveled with their middle daughter to every runway show and far-flung shoot. Despite her jet-set career, she attended her senior prom (in a Dior gown) and earned straight As in high school.
When Kloss began to spend more time in New York, her folks pulled up stakes in 2011 and moved from St. Louis to Goshen, NY, to be closer to her.
"It's pretty rare to have a whole family that involved," says Mary Clarke, the co-founder of Mother Model Management, who discovered Kloss. "I believe it makes all the difference in the world. Karlie wanted it that way."

She still does.
She has bought all the women in her family Chanel bags, and Kloss and her three K-named "seesters" (as she calls them) wear matching gold-tasseled Carolina Bucci bracelets. Kloss used her air miles in 2012 to take her entire family to Denmark, the land of her ancestors. And every year she sets aside a day before Christmas to bake treats with her mom.
The four sisters are frequently together even though they live in four different states. Kristine, 25, decamped to San Francisco, where she works as women's market editor for Shopkick, a shopping app.
For a time, she lived with Kloss in New York and helped with her brand extensions, including gluten-free Karlie's Kookies, which raises money for charity.
Kloss' younger sisters, 19-year-old twins Kimberly and Kariann, are sophomores at North Carolina's High Point University and Pennsylvania's University of Scranton. Athletic like Kloss, who was fanatic about ballet as a kid, the twins were both standout high school athletes.
Starting this fall, the twins won't be the only college students in the family. Kloss will be attending NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, in addition to modeling full time.
Vogue reports that Christy Turlington Burns wrote Kloss' letter of recommendation — just another bit of praise she's received from an industry known for being catty.
As casting director Scully puts it: "The minute you work with Karlie, it's impossible not to like her."
