Kim and Khloé Kardashian mingled at a party for their hair care line, Kardashian Beauty, Monday for "five minutes of the two-hour-long event," spies said.
But before their brief encounter with guests at Academy Mansion on the Upper East Side, they posed for photos for a half hour.
"It was a human wall of people taking their picture," said a spy. "They came out, someone asked for a selfie and it just turned into an iPhone shoot."
Then they headed to a VIP area to hide before their next appearance.
