A man was struck and killed by a Metro-North train in The Bronx on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The train's engineer told police he saw the man jump in front at the Wakefield station about 7:55 a.m. while the train was going about 30 mph.
Medics rushed the man to Montefiore Hospital, but he was pronounced dead about 9 a.m., the MTA said.
Police have not been able to identify him yet.
The train did not have any passengers, but there were delays up to 15 minutes for Metro-North riders during the police investigation.
Normal service had resumed by 9:15 a.m.
