From zero to hero, in one half (and an OT)

Hero

Russell Wilson was getting fitted for goat horns, throwing four first-half interceptions and compiling a passer rating of 0.0. But he staged a remarkable personal comeback and brought the Seahawks along with him for the ride, ending the proceedings in overtime with just about the prettiest throw you'll ever see. A testament to resiliency.

Zero

How can a defensive unit be so dominant for more than three quarters and then completely go in the tank when it was time to hammer home the victory? The Packers defense allowed a 24-yard TD run to Marshawn Lynch at the end of regulation and a 35-yard TD scoring pass for the deciding points. This will haunt them in Green Bay for a long, long time.

Unsung hero

There would have been no overtime and the comeback would have died on the vine if not for a successful on-side kick executed by Steve Hauschka and recovered by Chris Matthews, a first-year receiver. Of course, it didn't hurt that Packers backup tight end Brandon Bostick failed to secure the football as he leaped and it sailed through his hands.

Key stat

120: Yards rushing for Marshawn Lynch after halftime. He was bottled up, rushing for only 37 yards in the first half, but he finished with 25 carries for 157 yards, plus the key TD run late in the fourth quarter. Lynch got moving as the Packers tired down the stretch, going into his Beast Mode persona to take the heat off Wilson until the third-year quarterback found himself.
