The Nets super fan who was carried out Madison Square Garden by security guards after allegedly bashing people with his prosthetic leg is in critical condition after jumping out on a two story window in Queens, sources said.
Jeffrey Vanchiro — who was ejected from a Dec. 2 Knicks-Nets game along with his prosthetic leg — jumped out the second floor window of his father's home in Flushing on Saturday night, according to sources.
"Jeffrey is on a respirator right now. It's the only thing that is keeping him alive," Vanchiro's fiancee Kristi Evans said at New York Hospital Queens.
" He won't be recovering from this. He's at the end of his life and this is the time when his friends and family are coming to say goodbye."
A witness said the fixture at Net games was "acting emotionally disturbed," according to police sources.
Evans said that Vanchiro had not been the same since the incident at the Garden and denied that he had struck anyone with his leg.
"Regarding the fall, all I can say is that he has been dealing with the stress and trauma of what happened at Madison Square Garden," Evans said.
"It's been tough for him since then. He wasn't a crazy fan hitting people with his prosthetic leg. That was a lie. He's a good man."
It appears that Vanchiro, 38, either jumped through the glass pane or forced it open before plunging out, sources said. The glass was broken.
He landed on a concrete stairwell in the backyard below, according to sources.
Vanchiro was on life support.
"We lost a brilliant, unique, incredible man today," Evans tweeted Sunday night. "Please tell me your stories about Jeffrey so I can share them with the world."
He was ejected from the Garden security guards on Dec. 2 after they received multiple complaints from fans sitting in his area of the stands, according to a Knicks spokesman.
