A Brooklyn judge ordered a psychiatric evaluation Monday for the unhinged Staten Island man accused of murdering three shopkeepers in separate slayings, calling the alleged serial killer's bizarre ravings, "Like something out of a movie."
Sal Perrone, 65 — who was found fit for trial last year, but insisted on acting as his own lawyer — was spouting nonsensical accusations when Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Alan Marrus cut him off.
"You're either lying to me or delusional, so I'm going to order a [psych] exam to see what the doctors say about it," Marrus said. "I'm afraid you may have a mental illness."
When the mustachioed Perrone kept talking about what he claims was a wrongful search of his house and said, "What do you say to that?" Marrus shot back, "I say I'm going to order a [psych] exam."
Perrone will be back in court Dec. 12.
