Two drones flew dangerously close to commercial planes preparing to land at La Guardia Airport in July — and cops are hunting for the operators, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

The drones were spotted by pilots of the passenger planes buzzing around above Downtown Brooklyn, about 12 miles from the airport, sources said.

One of the gizmos was seen underneath a Piedmont Airlines flight on July 27 around 7 p.m. as the plane was making its final approach into La Guardia from 4,500 feet.

Two days later, at about 8 p.m., the pilot of a US Airways flight also flying at 4,500 feet noticed a different drone coming toward the aircraft.

The NYPD's Aviation Unit was notified in both incidents, but cops on the ground were unable to locate the drones or their pilots.

"Anything that causes the crew to divert its attention away from a safe landing is a serious distraction," said a source.

On Wednesday, Isaac Rosa was busted after the drone he was allegedly piloting in Bushwick had a near-miss with an NYPD helicopter on search duty.
