The Bronx

■ Authorities are seeking a suspect they have ID'd in an assault on an MTA employee at a University Heights subway station.

Anthony Ross, 51, punched the worker in the face several times, cops said.

He allegedly attacked the unidentified worker who was conducting an inspection at the Fordham Road station on the 4 line at about 8 p.m. on Sept. 3.

The victim was treated at Lincoln Hospital for facial pain and swelling. The reason for the attack is unclear.

Brooklyn

■ Cops busted a 24-year-old Williamsburg man on charges of fatally shooting a resident of a Vinegar Hill apartment building.

Hector Martinez was ­arrested Friday after a witness identified him as the shooter in the killing of Raymond Ayala, 37.

Ayala was shot once in the head in the lobby of his apartment building on Sands Street near Gold Street just before 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 22, cops said.

Martinez was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. ­Investigators have not yet determined a motive in the slaying.

■ Cops busted a violent pervert who stuck his head ­under a woman's skirt, then threw her down and beat her in a Downtown Brooklyn subway station, police said.

James Barnes, 61, trailed the 32-year-old victim up a flight of stairs in the Dekalb Avenue station on the D line at 10 p.m. on Aug. 8 and forced his head under her skirt, according to law-enforcement authorities.

When the woman shoved him away, Barnes threw her down the stairway and punched and kicked her, authorities said. He then dashed out of the station.

The victim suffered bruises but declined medical attention. Barnes was arrested Friday and slapped with sexual-abuse and assault charges.

■ A hit-and run driver smashed his SUV into a man and woman crossing a Brownsville street at 2 a.m. Saturday, cops said.

After the accident, at Seaview and Louisiana avenues, the driver fled on foot.

The 27-year-old male victim was in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital. The woman, 35, was treated for minor injuries.

Manhattan

■ A phony Realtor took a prospective tenant's deposit and first month's rent for a Lower East Side apartment that was already occupied, police said.

The 36-year-old victim saw a Craigslist ad for the apartment on Ludlow Street near East Houston Street and met the suspect (above) for a showing on Aug. 17, ­according to cops.

The apartment-hunter forked over a $4,400 check to the con man to cover the security deposit and first month's rent, authorities said.

But when the victim tried to move in at the end of the month, he learned that the apartment was occupied.

"The suspect basically took the money and ran," a police source said.

A badly decomposed body was pulled from the Hudson River Saturday morning, authorities said.

The corpse was spotted floating near West 26th Street and 12th Avenue shortly before 9 a.m..

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
