With voting for the 2014 Prime Time Emmys about to close, two series are poised to take advantage of Thursday night's Critics' Choice awards in LA.

"Fargo" — the FX miniseries based on the Oscar-winning film by the Coen brothers — and "Orange Is the New Black" each walked away with three awards. That could bode well for both shows when Emmy nominations are announced July 10.

"Fargo" won for Best Miniseries, Best Actor in a Miniseries (Billy Bob Thorton) and Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries (Allison Tolman).

The Netflix series "Orange Is the New Black" also picked up three awards, for Best Comedy Series, Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Kate Mulgrew) and Best Guest Actress in a Comedy (Uzo Aduba).

Other winners included Matthew McConaughey as Best Actor in Drama Series for his role on HBO's "True Detective" and Tatiana Maslany for BBC America's "Orphan Black."

"Breaking Bad" won Best Drama Series and Jim Parsons won Best Actor in a Comedy for CBS's "The Big Bang Theory."

Julia Louis-Dreyfus repeated her victory as Best Actress in a Comedy Series for "Veep." Allison Janney picked up two awards — one as Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series for "Masters of Sex," and the other in a tie with Mulgrew as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for CBS's "Mom."
