Tracy Morgan is headed back to TV.
FXX has ordered 10 episodes of a new half-hour comedy series starring the "30 Rock" alum to premiere next year.
The untitled project hails from the creators of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" — Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton — and Luvh Rakhe, who will serve as executive producers and showrunners.
The comedy is set to premiere in January 2015, paired with the 10th season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" (which was also renewed for an 11th and 12th season on Friday).
Morgan previously filmed a comedy pilot for FX Networks called "Do or Die" — where he starred as a former small-time drug dealer/high school coach who returns to his hometown as a war hero — which did not move forward.
