Police have a suspect in custody in connection with a threat to start shooting at the Los Angeles Times Building, the paper reported Friday night.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was not an employee of The Times but worked for Vxi Global Solutions, which rents space in the newspaper's building.
Witnesses said the unidentified man said was depressed and handed one person a bag of bullets after saying he didn't want to go to jail, the paper reported.
Employees throughout the building were placed on lockdown and those who had left were not let back in until the area was cleared.
