AUGUSTA, Ga. — Jordan Spieth, who won't be 21 until July, has a chance to become the youngest Masters winner ever — supplanting Tiger Woods, who, in 1997, won by 12 shots at age 21.
Spieth, who shot a 2-under 70 Saturday at Augusta National, is at 3-under par. He is tied for third, just four strokes behind leader Bubba Watson.
"This was a big goal of mine this year — to get contention in a major, with the Masters being the one I've dreamt about most," said Spieth, who eagled the par-5 15th and birdied the 18th. "So that's going to leave more emotions out there.
"I already am emotional, so I have to really keep it on the down low.''
