Metro-North completely shut down after power glitch

The entire Metro-North train system ground to a halt Thursday night due to a power glitch, the MTA said.

Passengers have been stranded since 7:45 p.m. because of a computer problems in the control room, the agency said.

"We have been stranded for over an hour," said Post reporter Michelle Celarier, who was struck on a train near 125th Street.

All Merto-North trains have heat and power and were ordered to stop at the nearest station.

The MTA says they are trouble shooting the problem.
