Miss New York wins Miss America competition – again

Miss New York, Nina Davuluri, has won the Miss America competition – the second consecutive win for the Empire State.

Davuluri, 24, is from upstate Fayetteville.

Brooklyn resident Mallory Hagan was previously named Miss America, and she was on hand Sunday to place the crown on Davuluri's head. The moment carried added meaning due to backstage drama between Davuluri and Hagan previously reported by Page Six.

Davuluri has also wrestled with her weight — and made image issues part of her platform.

The competition was held in Atlantic City, NJ for the first time in nine years.
