Forgetting Sarah Marshall 2008

Be prepared to double over for this movie, about a heartsick slacker of a composer (Jason Segel) who flies to Hawaii to recover from a devastating breakup with his TV-star girlfriend (Kristen Bell). Once there, he discovers, to his horror, that she's there as well — with her new rock-star boyfriend (Russell Brand). This is the movie that put Brand on the map, but the cast also includes the hilarious Mila Kunis and Paul Rudd.

Gone With the Wind 1939

Tuesday, 8 p.m., TCM

Margaret Mitchell's great Civil War best seller, via David O. Selznick. Vivien Leigh is spoiled Southern belle Scarlett O'Hara, who has a tempestuous relationship wiith blockade runner Rhett Butler (Clark Gable). Although 1939 was one of the best years in American film history, this movie still bagged nine Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Actress (Leigh) and Best Supporting Actress for Hattie McDaniel, the first African-American to ever be nominated for an Academy Award. With Olivia de Havilland.

Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor give their best film performances in this caustic and harrowing story, adapted from Edward Albee's play, of a marital meltdown between an unfulfilled academic and his horny boozehound wife that starts when they invite a new professor (George Segal) and his wife (Sandy Dennis) over for a night of cocktails and insults.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2011

Saturday, 5:45 p.m., HBOe

A group of retirees (Judi Dench, left and Celia Imrie) decides to live out their golden years in a restored hotel in Jaipur, India. However, when they arrive, they find the hotel is a dump. With no choice, eventually they are all charmed by their new life and old hotel. Just terrific. With two "Downton Abbey" stars, Maggie Smith and Penelope Wilton.
