‘Tickle’ in a pickle on new series

Discovery Channel is hoping to "Tickle" your sense of humor.

Tickle, one of the stars of the cable network's hit series, "Moonshiners," will star in his own spinoff reality show premiering tomorrow night.

In the aptly named "Tickle," airing at 10 p.m., the Appalachian Mountain-based moonshiner, a "Moonshiner" fan favorite, will embark on a new set of adventures when he discovers a hidden cache of moonshine — owned by people who just happen to want their stash back and may be willing to go to great lengths to accomplish that.

The summer series will track Tickle's attempts to unload the moonshine while remaining one step ahead of the law.

Toward that end, he sets up a storefront and tries to keep "snooping townspeople" away from what's really behind the doors, according to a Discovery description of the show.

Tickle, 35 — whose real name is Steven Ray Tickle — has been a key cast member of "Moonshiners," as Tim's right-hand man, since the series premiered in 2011.

A native of Southwestern Virginia, he's known as a really good cook — and even once ran a "Tickle for President" campaign.

But he also has a darker side, having been arrested last March for public intoxication in Danville, Va. after he was seen with an open container and smelled of alcohol, according to the local police.
