Everything old is hot again.
"CBS Sunday Morning," the lite-FM of weekend news programs, has scored an 11 percent rise in viewers over the last year — its biggest second-quarter gain since 1987.
Hosted by the avuncular Charles Osgood, it averaged 5.5 million viewers for the second quarter and logged its best results in adults 25-54 since 2008.
The show usually presents a mix of soft news, lifestyle features and celeb profiles. This past Sunday, reports of revolution in Egypt were followed by stories including an interview with US Senator Mark Kirk, who returned to work after suffering a stroke.
