Google, which is giving Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt a $6 million cash bonus for 2012, agreed to pay a $7 million fine in a settlement covering 38 states and the District of Columbia over software that enabled the company to intercept e-mails, passwords and other sensitive information sent several years ago over unprotected wireless networks.

Credit Suisse Group plans to cut 94 jobs at its main New York office, beginning April 1.
