Channel took me for ride

Globe-trotting chef Anthony Bourdain is sputtering mad at his TV bosses for editing him into a car ad without his permission — just as his famous "No Reservations" show is coming to an end.

In an long rant posted yesterday on Bourdain's Tumblr site, the TV foodie went ballistic at the Travel Channel, which has carried his show for the past eight years.

"It came as a shock and a disappointment to turn on the TV for the last two episodes of my show and see that someone had taken footage [of] me . . . cut it up and edited it together with scenes of a new Cadillac driving through the forest.

"Scenes of me, my face and with my voice, were edited in such a way as to suggest that I might be driving that Cadillac. That, at least, I was very likely IN that Cadillac — and that if nothing else, I sure as s--t was endorsing Cadillac as the vehicle of choice for my show."

Bourdain is leaving Travel at the end of the year to join CNN and still has one more season, called "The Layover," starting next week.

But for all intents and purposes, his relationship with Travel is done — and ending bitterly.

"Though not quite a virgin," he wrote, "I have tried to remain fairly pure about endorsing products.

Bourdain's longtime lawyer and agent Richard Hofstetter said he has "been in touch" with Travel and "they know there's an issue here."

Asked if Bourdain intends to sue, Hofstetter replied: "All options remain open."
